Gluten Free Japan

In October, 2012, I had the opportunity to visit Japan, the first time since being diagnosed as gluten sensitive 4 years ago. Needless to say, I was challenged to find places to eat in a country where there is little awareness of celiac disease and and gluten intolerance. Fortunately, with the help of clients, friends and the internet, I was able to find a variety of gluten free options.

With packets of gluten free soy sauce and an iPhone translation app I set out to discover how to eat Gluten Free in Japan.
