We all gathered at the newly renovated California Pizza Kitchen in the Westfield Valley Fair Mall, Santa Clara, CA for a delightful pizza extravaganza. The place was humming with holiday shoppers looking for that perfect shopping comfort food, pizza.

With a recent GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group) gluten free certification, Peter Pirozzi, regional manager thoroughly explained the process they go through to insure a safe, gluten free experience. The service was fabulous. Each food server took their time to explain each dish and answered the many questions we had. I had “The original BBQ Chicken Pizza” which was awesome. BBQ chicken, with smoked Gouda and red onions on a thin, crust was baked to perfection. (They even serve gluten free beer!).
